Each year we plant more trees in community forests in Central Java, Indonesia. The trees shown here are no mere statistics. They are live growing trees that we have monitored within six months of planting and annually and biennially after that.
We keep a detailed inventory of every tree we plant including its species, the GPS coordinate where it is located, the farmer who owns the trees, the planting date and monitoring records. Below you see the general locations of the plantings placed on the map.
